Nagaland State Lottery was established in 1972 under the supervision of the Finance Department, Government of Nagaland. The lottery was introduced to generate a stable source of revenue for the state government.

Dear Morning Lottery releases a total of 5.80 crore tickets, printed in series ranging from 42 to 99 along with alphabet series A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, and K. Each series contains ticket numbers from 00000 to 99999, and the price of each ticket is ₹6.
Dear Day Lottery issues approximately 2.80 crore tickets, printed under series 74 to 99 along with alphabet sets A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, and K. Every ticket carries a serial number from 00000 to 99999 and is sold at a price of ₹6.
Dear Evening Lottery releases around 7.00 crore tickets, printed in series ranging from 30 to 99 along with alphabet series A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, and K. Each ticket contains a serial number between 00000 and 99999, and the ticket price is ₹6.
